Welcome to Snareweight- the Ultimate Drum Damper and new Speedy Drum Key

Snareweight is the fastest way to get your snare drum sounding its best. Made of solid brass, a strong neodymium magnet (to removably secure to your rim), and interchangeable leather inserts that help shape your sound- it will be the most loyal little buddy in your ever changing stick bag.

Snareweight  #5 is used for triple flange hoops while Snareweight  #5+ Pro lock are used for Die Cast hoops.

The other feature that is sweet about Snareweight is that it adds mass to your drum head which helps to evenly smooth the lower-mid ringing frequencies that can't be reached with other methods. The high frequency unwanted ring is shaped by the chosen insert. Keeping all the frequencies present and level across the board will bring out the true tone of your drum shell for a smoother and richer sound.  The weight also adds 2-3 db of compression to your drum keeping it in the sweet spot of your mix.  So try out the snareweight #5 and array of inserts, or the M1, M80 with more to come in 2023!

From an engineering stand point with the weight (two thirds of a pound) of a Snareweight , you get about 2-3 db of compression from your drum, which helps reel it in for recording levels and sitting in the mix. The lighter the Snareweight, the less compression. The center sweet spot of your drum is also wider and more forgiving. Lastly, your rim shots will FEEL great and you will notice improved clarity playing anywhere on the head...no dull spots. 

 

Snareweight was created and tested in South San Francisco, CA within a fully analog recording studio in 2009 to 2020 where it is currently made.
